BSB20115 CERTIFICATE II IN BUSINESS

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a range of mainly routine tasks using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge in a defined context, working under direct supervision.

Students wishing to complete BSB20115 may be either existing workers or registered job seekers with IOGTA. For job seekers, IOGTA will arrange suitable workplacement or a suitable simulated environment to support training and assessment.

 

 

SIT20416 CERTIFICATE II IN KITCHEN OPERATIONS

This qualification provides the skills necessary for an individual to work effectively in a commercial kitchen where they will use a defined and limited range of food preparation and cookery skills. This qualification does not reflect the skills required by commercial cooks. Those skills are reflected in CIII in Commercial Cookery.

 

SIT20416 is currently only available as a VET in School program through a third-party arrangement with Christmas Island District High School (CIDHS). General enquiries and student support service enquiries relating to this VET in schools program should be directed to the CIDHS VET Coodinator on 08 9164 8546.

HLTAID001 PROVIDE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

Estimated duration: Half day (4hrs)

HLTAID002 PROVIDE BASIC EMERGENCY LIFE SUPPORT

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.

This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide an emergency response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

 

HLTAID002 is only offered as part of HLTAID003 (below) and is not available through IOGTA as a stand alone unit.

 

 

HLTAID003 PROVIDE FIRST AID

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.
